Kill You With A Smile

hitman

Yes, I am just happy to see you. [You can thank Le Clown for Photoshopping this].

So, I have learned something. I would be a horrible riddle book writer. Apparently, not only was my post yesterday thrown together too late, but my clues were too easy, and that asshole Aneroidocean ruined the what I thought would be fun little guessing game for everyone (by the way, can you please stop being an asshole and write an about me page already?).

To everyone else, please accept my new look and bulging crotch as an apology. Sorry Rich. Am I ruining your session?

None of this matters of course, because I am still basking in the glow of my own little session. The past two nights have been an ongoing threesome between me, my TV, and my PS3. All of my buttons were pushed (literally) and all parties reached their checkpoints, if you know what I mean. All I know is that I am glad it is finally the weekend, because these late nights aren’t doing anything for my complexion (as you can see above).

On another less weird note, Jillian Levi is at it again. She won a bunch of those awards and mentioned me as a nominee for this thing:

Blog of the Year Award banne

When I should really be winning creepiest post title of the year.

Like with the last award someone tossed down to me, I won’t participate in paying this forward, because… it takes too much time. I am just being honest here. Plus, I wouldn’t want people thinking I am actually a decent blogger who helps encourage others. I am a hitman now god dammit. Read the rest of this entry

color run 2012

So when I began writing this blog, one of my goals was to try new things this year. I can’t change the fact that I do not yet have the resources to make the move I want, the way I want just yet. So how do I pass the time? I signed up today to embarrass myself at the Color Run this year in New Olreans November 17th. Never have I participated in any kind of run (unless you count running from frogs). Running is not exactly my favorite physical activity, so it will also be a bit of a challenge. Although the race itself is laid back, and you don’t have to run, I’d like to attempt completing the whole thing without having to drop the pace. It is 3.1 miles of “color madness” and the final product is a human canvas turned multicolored splattered masterpiece by volunteers, sponsors and staff. Luckily for me, you can join teams so you don’t have to awkwardly run alone. Who am I kidding, I run like a gazelle. The bonus? After you become the next Pollock look-alike, you can go unwind over on Bourbon street. Read the rest of this entry

I Have No Idea What I am Doing. I am Doing it Anyway.

What screws us up most in life

This was supposed to be an inspiring post about how I am no longer blindly following the suggestions of mainly my parents others, but learning to guide myself. A story of revelations and the events that lead me there. A graceful notion about journeying to find passion I never considered before. How what I thought was supposed to be, was a world away from what is evolving in my life at present. Then, a clever transition into the detailing of obvious reasons I found that convinced me I belonged in another town. Somewhere not yet named. Finally it would come full circle by me relaying the list of goals this story inspired me to write and plaster to my fridge last night.

I actually wrote a lengthy detailed post. I began to edit. I realized it was an explosion of tiredly nauseating mind garble. Ctrl-A Backspace. Apparently the pictured quote up there goes for my blog posts as well. I’ll just blurt this out:

I downloaded a free trial version of Photoshop for the purposes of learning… *ahem*… attempting to learn. I am increasingly intrigued by web/design stuff. Basically,

I have No Idea what i'm doing

Any advice, tips on where to start, discussions on web/graphic design, or crazy glances welcomed.

B. On the flip side, I am in the process of researching Pilates trainer certification schools outside of Louisiana. I need some movement in my life. Any one out there who has any insight on this would also be greatly appreciated as well. I am not new to Pilates by any means, but I don’t know much about the certification process.

At least it is not Tuesday anymore. And, I just got delivered a free bucket of soft peppermints. Jackpot.

From AIM to CSS

Matrix Computer Program
Aside from my love of writing, I have a somewhat equal love of manipulating technology (well trying at least) and computers specifically to do and create cool things. I forgot about this passion until recently. It occurred when I was reminiscing about my childhood. When I was on the brink of becoming a teenager, my parents bestowed me with my first personal computer. It was a lavish Christmas present and a Compaq (yuck). At first, I was only stoked for one thing. The thing that all us youngsters crazed over at that time. AOL. More specifically, AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). If you are in your twenties, you know what’s up.

After attempting several different screen names (unfortunately every possible combination of HotChick plus a random set of numbers was already assigned), I finally found an available name and set up my buddy list. Can you imagine if those e-mail addresses stuck with us for life? How awful. Anyway, after weeks of disobeying bed time and holding  ridiculously long chats consisting of nothing but emoticons and various clever laughable “away” messages, I was becoming bored with AIM. I began to explore the inner caves of the internet. I started a blog without even knowing I was blogging. I created myself a flashy diaryland.com account. Of course, the only one reading my nonsensical blabbing was me.

Actually, thinking back on it, I remember being more in to other aspects of the site apart from just writing. Read the rest of this entry
